She has done so much for me, the least I can do is make her a doll :)

One last night

One last night, originally uploaded by Meℓacacia.

She doesn't even have to give me a guilt trip... All I have to do is look at that beautiful sad face.

There, there....

Acacia is comforting Lily as she hears the news... I found her a new home and she will be moving to Florida tomorrow...

We are sad to see her go, I keep looking at that beautiful face and thinking "what have I done" :D But I am happy for her new family!

We are going to miss her!

Considering finding her a new home

I listed her on BK today:

She is an MSD sized BJD. She comes on the "Happy New Girl Body"

I, for some reason, am not bonding with her like I had hoped even though she is gorgeous.

She will come with her original box, certificate, a wig and a set of eyes (and dressed in something).

I repainted her lips and did a little bit of work on her eyes to tone them down a bit.

Please contact me if interested :)

April 8th

April 8th, originally uploaded by Meℓacacia.

Today is a very special day for me. For it is the day that both of my children came into my life, one year apart.
After trying for 5 years to conceive without success, we began the process of adoption 7 years ago. When we were denied by Taiwan because of our young age, we made plans to adopt from Ethiopia later that year instead.
Then we received a phone call from our adoption agency on April 8th, 2005. A baby girl was born at our local hospital and the birthmom wanted to meet us. Within two hours of that phone call, we were holding our new daughter in our arms. She was less than a day old and the most beautiful thing I had ever seen.
A few months later another miracle occurred, I found out that I was pregnant. Exactly one year after our daughter came into our lives, our son was born.
I am the most blessed mother in the world and this date will forever hold a special place in my heart ♥
Today is MY mother's day :)

Back home

We spent the last 6 days with our family on the coast... It was a really great time and was worth all of the detours it took to get there after major land slides closed off highway 101.
Now, back at home, I am planning out my work schedule and ready to get going on all that needs to be done before Blythecon in June. My sewing machine better be ready, because I am putting it to some serious work over the next few months :)

Here are a few pics that I took while we were visiting the Ocean and the Redwood Forest.. It did make me miss my home town a little bit ♥
