Acacia is Alive
Acacia is here!!
My Souldoll Amy arrived today.. Finally! Tomorrow would be 8 weeks of waiting!
She is awesome. I am so excited to start working on her.. But I have other projects that I need to focus on first :)
Here is the "Box Opening" photo shoot:
She arrived nude, bald, and with no makeup.. I am calling her my Alien Baby until I can get her looking alive :D She was trying to cover herself for this invasive picture LOL
yay!

Monika's girl
She went through about 4 face-ups yesterday and then I still was not happy with her so I sanded her down last night and started over today..
After the final sanding (last night):
Here she is as of now:
I am finally happy with how she is going now. Poor girl has been through a lot in the last day :)
Will post more once she is further along. I completely finished her hair today too.

Monday, Monday.
Today has been an interesting day. The time changed yesterday and it seemed to throw everything off this morning.
But it was a great mail day today! Along with 3 other doll related packages, I received an old friend in the mail :) She was my 22nd custom girl and she has come back to me for a new hair style. I removed the hair already and she is just waiting patiently while I work on her new do.
Also, today is the day that HGTV will be arriving at the winner's house for their big Dream Home Giveaway... So, I mentioned yesterday that I wanted to clean my house so that WHEN (not if) they arrive here, it will look presentable and a friend recommended that I put a large bowl of fruit out on the table. So, what do you think?

Hair Reference for Hiroko :)
This is the hair I am currently working on for Hiroko. The doll in photo is just a random doll of mine, not one of Hiroko's girls :)
Luna's hair:
Lumina's hair (with hat on because it is still in progress, but I am very close to being done with it):
I also post commission updates on the Melacacia Facebook page:

Melacacia Announcement
Spring is almost here!
I am over my head in commissions right now. I have been thinking about it all day today and realize that I need to change the way I accept new commissions. I will have to make a schedule and only take in a certain number of commissions per month. I have been telling people that I would be able to take on more in the spring, but that is next week and I have 7 dolls that I am working on right now! aaaaah! So, I am putting new commissions on hold for a while longer and I hope people understand.
If we are in the process already, then don't worry, but if you are unsure, then feel free to contact me. I so appreciate all of the support in my work and want people to know that I am very grateful.. But I am just one person and I need to be realistic :)
Thanks so much!
My current side project:
My little Rory, enjoying the view this morning:
I hope everyone is happy and well!
