Tea Dye

I am dying some white fabric with tea today so I can make the perfect dress for Kate's MSR custom :)



It is still drying, but I can already tell that I am very happy with the result!



i will post pics of the dress when I am finished making it :)

Buttons and Bows

I added a little button to Valentina's bow :)





aaaaah, it is such a small detail but really makes the dress feel more complete to me :)

Emily's makeover

I gave Emily a makeover... I think I will be working on her lips some more, but this is her so far :)
I just couldn't handle the shiny face any longer... it is so distracting in photos. I think she is happier now.

It is incredibly windy here today. What an opportunity! :)

Naomi in Wonderland

I had a dream the other night about this image of my daughter, Naomi, sitting in a pretty dress with her eyes closed and I could see what she was imagining around her. It was really surreal. I wanted to try to recreate it somehow in a photo..... I remember the Cheshire Cat was one of the things she was thinking of so I used this Alice in Wonderland Poster as the background :)



I can't wait for Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland to come out, btw. I just heard that it is going to be in 3D.

Valentina is ready to meet her Valentine :)

I swear sometimes the doll tells me what she wants to look like, and this one did not want to be a typical "Melacacia" :D

Valentina

Valentina, my Valentine's Day Custom, is almost done!
I am hoping to have her finished tomorrow.







I took these photos so I could "see" her.. it is hard for me to "see" my work when I have been looking at it for so long... It always makes it easier to view it in a photo for some reason.

I see now, that I think her lips are too pale as is her eye shadow. I am also thinking of painting hearts on her eyelids, but may change my mind on that. They currently are lightly airbrushed with an iridescent pink.





I also need to finish her heart dress. And I notice that her freckles are not showing up well in the photos, so I will have to take better pictures tomorrow.


So far so good? ;)
