We had a nice break from the rain today and decided to go to the property in Miranda for the day and let everyone run around. It was kind of chilly, but nice and Franky (the dog) had a great time swimming in the freezing cold river :)
Emily tagged along and I did a little photoshoot with her:

busy, busy, busy.....
I made a tunic to go with the skirt I made for Tia yesterday... so her outfit is now complete :)
I have few projects going on right now (and always) and my husband doesn't understand how I know which doll parts go with which doll. Especially when I have them taken apart and on my desk together at once... Well, this time it is easy because one is an RBL, one is an SBL and the other is an EBL... duh! LOL.. He, of course sees no difference ;)
Hopefully tomorrow I will be at a point where I can take official update photos for the commission clients.
This week has flown by! Where does the time go?

my mini me?
This is not my photo, but will soon be my doll. I photoshopped my eyes (irises) into this picture because the original pic has very blue eyes... I, however, don't :D
I can't believe how much her features look like mine. She is like an idealized, doll version of me! It's pretty cool!
So, I sold a doll this morning and bought this one. I am getting her with a bare face (no makeup) and will customize her myself. I am going to make her into my mini-me. eeeep!
She is a Souldoll (Soulkid Amy) and is the same size as Tia (MSD Dollmore Kid, Miro) which is about 16.5 inches tall.
I think I will name her Acacia :)
---------------------------------------------------------------
Bye Bye ^__^
I adopted out two girls within the last 24 hours and they both are going to lovely new homes.
Petal is moving in with a couple of other Melacacia girls (yay!) on the other side of the United States :) Thanks, Karen!
And Mitten is moving to Moscow! Thanks, Tanya!
I hope to see more of them on Flickr someday soon ♥

Sadness
Click the image for the whole story... We found out today that it was a stroke that my grandma had. Now my mom is just trying to figure out what happens next... She will not be going back to live in her home :(

Kate's Girl
CayceDanielle ♥
My very talented sister-in-law made me the coolest crocheted items for Christmas and I just had to share!
She made me these "Eco Friendly Moroccan House Slippers" The yarn is made of 20% recycled plastic! They are so cozy, I wish I could wear them all the time.. and they look cool too :)
She also made me this adorable Blythe scarf, which Rory claimed as hers instantly and refuses to share with any of the other girls :D
She also made me this amazing crocheted market bag, but I forgot to take a pic of it! It's gorgeous!
If anyone wants to check out her Etsy shop click HERE or on any of the two images above :)

Emily's makeover
Naomi in Wonderland
I had a dream the other night about this image of my daughter, Naomi, sitting in a pretty dress with her eyes closed and I could see what she was imagining around her. It was really surreal. I wanted to try to recreate it somehow in a photo..... I remember the Cheshire Cat was one of the things she was thinking of so I used this Alice in Wonderland Poster as the background :)
I can't wait for Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland to come out, btw. I just heard that it is going to be in 3D.

Valentina is ready to meet her Valentine :)
I swear sometimes the doll tells me what she wants to look like, and this one did not want to be a typical "Melacacia" :D
To read more about her you can check out her auction page :)

Valentina
Valentina, my Valentine's Day Custom, is almost done!
I am hoping to have her finished tomorrow.
I took these photos so I could "see" her.. it is hard for me to "see" my work when I have been looking at it for so long... It always makes it easier to view it in a photo for some reason.
I see now, that I think her lips are too pale as is her eye shadow. I am also thinking of painting hearts on her eyelids, but may change my mind on that. They currently are lightly airbrushed with an iridescent pink.
I also need to finish her heart dress. And I notice that her freckles are not showing up well in the photos, so I will have to take better pictures tomorrow.
So far so good? ;)

The sun came out yesterday and I was inspired to clean up my sewing area.. Now I can function in there :)
......................
I took Miro's foot apart today so I could know exactly what it is that I am looking for to repair the other foot:
I went to the hardware store and found the right piece(s)!! yay!!
So I took some shots of her with her newly functional feet! :)
